Mainly, I expect this will appeal to the younger crowd, but punk rock is an old, long established genre, so you never know.

Punk doesn't always have to march in lockstep to leftist, collectivist, anti-capitalist dogma; the irony about a lot of punk rock these days is exactly that: its conformity to such things and its use as a tool of indoctrination for them. Even if you don't like this style of music, everyone can at least appreciate that there's still some punk rock out there that stands for the sovereignty of the individual and freedom.
