I love Sherlock Holmes stories as books, plays & films ( my favorite is The Seven-Percent Solution from 1976), & this one seems full of promise from the buzz, stills & the trailers. It has been much rumored that the film has a homoerotic bent. I love these two actors & they seem perfect choices for these characters. Is it a stretch to imagine Downey as an opium addict?
The husband & I are so lucky...when we go to films, instead of watching at home, we tend to go on a Monday at 11am. I almost gave up on movies with the fried chicken eating, cell phone yakking, running dialogue along with the film, audiences of the past decade. But some films, I can't wait for the rental, & this looks like one I will see in the first week.
