Our culture's obsession with youth can really get a guy down... & GAY culture's obsession with young = attractive can seem especially cruel to men over 40. I embraced moving into "daddy" mode with ease, but still, it gives me pause when I step on the scale or look in the mirror (I see my father staring back), & I tend to do neither these days. The Husband, who is looking down the barrel of the gun of 60 & who still is insanely handsome & fit & looks a decade younger, is an inspiration for feeling/looking hot when a gay guy is over 50. I sincerely don't think in terms of age & its limits, & I do not obsess over my lost youth, but here are three HOT men over 50 who make getting older an inspiration. I offer Ed Harris (58), Dennis Quaid (55) & David Bowie (62). I am a long time fan of the work of all three, but at this moment my mind is in the gutter.
