SEL Event Center Opens

There was nice write-up about SEL's new event center in yesterday's Moscow-Pullman Daily News:
Outside, the event center features a large garden courtyard designed for summer weddings, banquets and similar outdoor gatherings.

It’s an SEL building, but Schweitzer hopes the community uses it more than his company.

Event center manager Robert Kunze said it’s impossible to gauge now what the balance will be between SEL and community functions.

“The plan is 30-70,” he said. “I repeat, that’s only a plan. Until we’ve been around for a while, we’ll have to be a little bit flexible. Obviously, our goal is to generate enough business to cover the costs of the facility.”
This is the development about which PARDner Cynthia Hosick complained a few months ago:
I think their newest huge building is an absolutely awful example of hilltop development, and a prime example of what any city/county development code in this area ought to prohibit
Wonder why she wasn't interviewed for the story?
