The topsy-turvy world of twenty-something Democratic political quotes continues. In yesterday's Lewiston Tribune, Caitlin Ross informed us that we need to stop sending all those boring old businessmen and farmers to Olympia and vote for a 22-year office assistant instead.

In yesterday's Daily News, Nathan Horter said it was a good thing that he has lived in Whitman County for only 18 months and has no connections to the area. So what if he might move away when his girlfriend graduates from the WSU Vet School? He posts at Daily Kos. He's part of the netroots. Horter wants to "mix up" the county's political system.

And even though Horter has no political experience, no degree in accounting or finance, or anything else that would even remotely qualify him for the Auditor's office, he could redo the County Auditor's web site and he has a "history and personality based on accuracy," whatever that means.

Horter is also "not bothered" by the 2,000 more votes that Eunice Coker received in the primary than he did. That's good, because soon we won't be bothered by all the slime swirling around the Auditor's race either. More about that later.
