In the heat of an argument, The Husband once claimed that I chose to fall in love with him because: “I was good looking & somehow that was important to you.” He was mistaken. I didn’t fall in love with him because he was breathtakingly beautiful, & he truly is & was; I fell in love with him because he creates astonishing beauty & I hold art & those who create art above everything else.
