Michael Urie (28 today)- Julliard trained actor of stage, screen & TV. I love him as Mark St James on Ugly Betty. When Urie landed the role of "Marc St. James" on Ugly Betty, his character was not supposed to be a recurring regular which is why Urie was billed as guest starring in the credits. Wilhelmina Slater was originally supposed to have a different assistant in each episode, but Vanessa Williams loved their chemistry & Michael was signed on as a full time regular. Patti LuPone played Marc's mother in at two episodes. In real life he is best friends with co-star Becki Newton. This summer he has been on stage in The Temperamentals, a play about pioneering gay activist Harry Hay in which he appears as gay activist & fashion/costume designer Rudi Gernreich who also was born on this day. He is famous for inventing the first topless swimsuit-or monokini, as well as the pubikini (a bikini with a window in front to reveal the woman's pubic hair) & later the thong. Gernreich was also a strong advocate of unisex clothing, dressing male & female models in identical clothing & shaving their heads & bodies completely bald. He was also known as the first designer to use vinyl & plastic in clothes. My good friend- WCK actually knew him.
The Edge (48 today)- the talented & original Irish guitarist & singer & my favorite member of U2. I find him super sexy. Check out his excellent sexy vocals in the song Numb.
Keith Carradine (60 today)- I always thought he was very sexy & talented. Oscar winner for best song for I’m Easy from Nashville, & Tony nomination for Will Roger’s Follies. My favorites: Nashville, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Thieves Like Us, Welcome To LA, Choose Me, & Trouble in Mind. His talented daughter Martha Plimpton was conceived when her parents (mother is Shelly Plimpton) were starring in the original production of Hair.
Dustin Hoffman (72 today), unabashed liberal, gay friendly & busy Oscar winning actor of stage & screen since 1960. Among my favorites: Midnight Cowboy, Marathon Man, All The President's Men, Tootsie, Death Of A Salesman, Wag The Dog, Finding Neverland & Meet The Fockers. I know, I know...my tastes actually run from Arthur Miller to The Fockers, but so do Mr. Hoffman's.

Roger Federer (28 today), he of the great hair, who is not gay, but I love to watch this master of the game & I enjoy hearing him grunt.
