If Wal-Mart opponents would like to cite us some meaningful statistics about the number of Wal-Mart employees who receive taxpayer subsidized health-care benefits, I would suggest they compare the total benefit dollars paid those workers while in the employ of Wal-Mart to the benefits paid those same workers in the year prior to their employment, inclusive of unemployment benefits. But then, I suspect those numbers wouldn’t really suit the purpose.
