"Day applies for vacant Ward 3 seat on City Council"

I caught wind of this possibility a few months ago. Terry would be an OUTSTANDING city council member. I'm very grateful he threw his hat into the ring.From today's Moscow-Pullman Daily News:

Terence L. Day has submitted his application to become a member of the Pullman City Council.

Day, a Pullman resident since 1972, filed his application for the vacant Ward 3 seat Friday.

He is a retired Washington State University faculty member who now works as a freelance writer and photographer.

The Ward 3 seat came open when it was determined that Devon Felsted would have to step down due to a conflict of interest.

The Ward 3 application period will close at 5 p.m. Jan. 31. Applicants must be registered voters over the age of 18, a Pullman resident for one year prior to appointment and reside in Ward 3, which encompasses Pioneer Hill and portions of College Hill. Interested individuals should submit a letter of application and answer a set of standard questions.

Copies of those questions are available in the mayor's office in Pullman City Hall.
